Attention: More and more fakes on the market!
With every rarity or antique, the prices for originals are rising steadily. In our collection area dubious sellers want to benefit from it and they make copies with little effort. Initially, only the rare originating from England "Iran Bogen" and the 3 Englishmen of the France'98 series was faked. Meanwhile, complete albums, bags and even boxes are faked. Priorities with counterfeiters have old and thus rare Panini series of football World and European Championships popular.
Up-to-date counterfeits
The stickers from the "Euro 2000" Panini album are now also offered as fakes on eBay. More and more sellers on this platform are offering this or other copies as a "cheap alternative". From our point of view, replicas are cheap but worthless, since only originals reach their collector's value.

Original
- in the case of older series, the paper frequently darkens
- typical patina
- Motifs are "soft-running" in color, clearly printed and have a plastic effect
Fake
- mostly bright white paper, aging traces only printed
- on the whole, the motif is darker and has a strong contrast
- lighter colors are out of focus, distorted, as if painted
Especially for bags
Original
- touchable strip or point fly at the opposing side edges
- Parchment-like, thin and usually shiny paper
- small, barely visible, production-related holes (such as pinholes) on the front and / or back
- the glue are often loosened and the bags are open
Fake
- Relief only printed and thus untouchable
- Thicker paper
